Assalamualaikum
Hi guys.
Being a mother is 50% hard work. And 50% jantung jatuh.
Hard work.
Start when the baby wakes up. Showering her. Putting on clothes. Feeding the baby. Picking up small things so she wont put them in her mouth. Picking up toys. Get her to sleep. Change diapers. More showers. More poos. More milk. More picking up toys.
Jantung jatuh.
The silver linings. That smile on her face every morning without fail. The masham susu smell. Her happy laughter when she plays with water. Her naughty look when she wants to put something into her small mouth that she knows we'll be angry at her if she does. When she runs or crawls fastly so we cant get her. That 1 hour of rest we have when she sleeps. The faces she makes when she eats something she likes or despises. When she does something new like standing without holding anything and waves her hands. When she suddenly lies down maybe because she's tired. Aahh i cant write all. There are too many.
In the end, its is not really hard work. They are all happy memories we are creating for the future.
Zahra, you should know that you are a gift. You are truly a gift for umi and ayah. Everything you do is amazing. Because you are amazing. You are honestly the glue that sticks umi and ayah together. Sometimes, i think ayah loves you more than he loves me. Which is good i guess. Because ayah once told me long ago that he doesnt fancy kids or babies. But once he met you, he has become a totally different person. And i love him more because of that.
Ps: marriage once you have kids means the curi2 kisses when the baby is not looking. I really love that. XD
